Everything Holiday Sparkling Snow Peeps

Can. You. Believe it?! It's already December!

It's Deidre, and thrilled to be back with my first of three December holiday guest design inspiration posts here at Clever Dexter. And I'll share a not-so-secret :) Snow peeps are my favorite winter/holiday icon for decorating and designing, so I was super excited to receive this frosty digi stamp to work with from Polkadoodles.

This stamp was so cool to color. I chose my colors by using our optional color palette for the month (check out the deets below). Copic markers are my go-to because I have managed to purchase way more than the 30 at which I told myself I would stop :) To see the colors, swing over to my blog. And if you look really closely, I used an awesome snowflake background and some sparkly embossing powder to cover the card base and my background. A little shine in unexpected places won't take away from your design or make it look too busy.

Tips - Use empty space to doodle designs, like I did the scarves and hats. Also, when you're fussy cutting something with stick-like arms and legs, be sure to stamp or print the same image on your base layer. That way when you lop off a limb (which you will do LOL) you still have it on the base layer. You can see my close-up below.

This Month's Theme Challenge is:

  With our Optional Color Palette:
Red, Green, White, Blue, Gold

Cleverly Concocted Challenge Rules:
 - The challenge runs from December 1 to December 31.
- Our mandatory theme for this month is EVERYTHING HOLIDAY.
- We would love to see you use our OPTIONAL color palette: Red, Green, White, Blue, Gold.

Have fun creating!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see your creations in the gallery!
