Thank You for Your Kindness
Hello and welcome to the Clever Dexter challenge blog! I'm Michelle and I'm super excited and honoured to have been given the opportunity to guest design for them his month. This months challenge #13 comes with the theme of Kindness and I don't think there is a better time to spread some handmade kindness than now and it is also a great way to start off a new year. The sponsor for this challenge is the wonderful Alex Syberia and she has very generously offered a gift certificate of $15 to her Etsy shop for the winner of this months challenge. For my card today I have chosen to use her Sketched Bouquet digital stamp to share with you all.
There is also an optional element to this challenge which is to use a colour palette of white, blue, yellow, purple and green. So with that in mind and digital in hand (well okay not really in hand) I sat down and started to create. To begin I printed it off my image and started to bring it to life using a variety of Copic markers. I used all of the challenge colours except for the purple.
Next I cut it out using my Brother Scan N' Cut and added it to a blue ink blended background. I then lifted off some of the blended ink using my distress sprayer. I popped up my background piece with some craft foam and then added my floral image directly to it and added some black splatters of paint for a bit more interest and also to tie in the black sentiment. I stamped my sentiment using a black pigment ink and added some clear embossing powder and heat embossed that. I added the sentiment to the card front and a few sequins to finish it off.
If you haven't checked out Alex's designs yet, then I highly suggest you do, as she is a very talented artist and she has so many beautiful designs. I hope that you will join us in this months challenge, get crafty...maybe even a bit inky and help us spread some handmade kindness.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day and find some time to get crafty, Michelle 😄
